Expected More

My wife and I Saw Skin tonight and had the following thoughts:

Lets start with the positives: The fire eating bit was entertaining. It is amazing that he could do that and not burn any facial hair! The work behind the scrim was nicely done but could have used some more sharpness in the shadows. Her robe movement looked wonderful.

The negative: The acts lacked polish and appeared under-rehearsed. The person who picked up the clothing was distracting and obnoxious. I expected more glitz and glamour. Costumes did not reflect the description of a Vegas style review. Lip-syncing should be done either the whole time or not at all. And for heavens sake please stop asking for applause. I paid for you to entertain me not to stroke your ego.

Overall the show lacked polish and needed more rehearsal.
